There are basically three main kinds of solar generators. The first is the all-in-one unit. Many households and businesses also use an inverter to recharge a rechargeable battery. The battery is normally deep-cycle batteries, which means that they are made to be recharged over again. It is a good idea to have your household electronic equipment and appliances regularly check for power cuts and potential damage. A DC input port on your solar generator will connect the inverter to an electrical source. A DC output port connects the inverter to the main electric panel of the house or building where you want to charge the battery.
Some of the smaller portable units of the solar generator that we are talking about do not have a recharge controller. The reason is that they have the DC input and output connected to the inverter by a cable. The inverter controls the flow of current from the DC battery to the DC batteries and then back to the inverter to power up all of the equipment that needs to run when the battery runs out of power. In some applications this would be the entire household electronics equipment and not just the battery.
