Outlook For the Natural Gas Generator Market, 2021 Through 2021
A study conducted by a leading Australian energy consulting firm has revealed that there will be a lot of competition in the natural gas generator market in the next few years. The major players in the market are expected to be ABB, Envirofone and White Energy. These three companies have their own unique characteristics which set them apart from other players in the industry. They offer many unique features to their customers, including low maintenance, high reliability and extreme endurance.
While all these qualities are quite good, it is their combination that is really attractive for most consumers. ABB and Envirofone offer both medium and high power generators for different applications. ABB offers an eco-friendly and intelligent thermal oxidizer combined with an inverter for all types of application and a medium size gas generator for domestic applications. Envirofone offers both small and large gas generators for commercial applications, including a complete residential solution for cooling and heating. In the Asia Pacific region, however, the biggest player in the natural gas generator market is White Energy who supplies a wide range of products including gas cookers, air conditioners and refrigerators.
The study was done by the consultancy firm Environmental Systems Research (ESR), in collaboration with Power Ledger, an Australia-based independent research company. The main areas of focus were medium and high performance generators for commercial and industrial applications. The study looked at the characteristics of the major players in the natural gas generator market and how they were planning to differentiate themselves in the next few years.
Energy Star rated appliances are a very popular choice for many consumers. The natural gas generator market share is expected to increase, therefore the demand for energy star rated appliances will also grow. This is a positive sign for manufacturers as they can be assured of continued demand from the market. Consumers are more concerned with the efficiency of their appliances and are willing to pay more for better performance. As competition increases, the manufacturers will need to find ways to create lower power plants that will still provide high quality services for their customers.
In order to remain competitive in the natural gas generator market, manufacturers will need to develop technologies to make electricity from renewable resources more cost effective. Shale gas reserves are one area that has seen increasing investments in the past few years. These reserves hold a large amount of energy that can potentially be harnessed to produce electricity. When combined with technologies such as carbon sequestering and smart grid integration, more renewable resources could become economically viable in the future.
The other main aspect of this study that should interest consumers is the outlook for the supply chain. There is a lot of potential for increased efficiency when it comes to manufacturing natural gas generators. However, the timeframe for such gains is unknown. The study looked at five key components that may have an impact on the forecast period. They include improvements to technology, the aging of the steam turbine fleet, the integration of the electric vehicle market, the addition of flexible gas generator sets, and the demand for safe and clean coal fuel. While the market may not see any substantial changes during the forecast period, the potential for improvement is something that is worth monitoring.
The outlook for the commercial segment of the natural gas generators market is less clear. There is little doubt that the residential segment will continue to experience growth in the coming years. This growth will likely occur even without additional commercial applications for high power generators. If there are no new applications for larger, more commercial sized generators, the decline in home energy demand will likely remain in place for at least the next two to three years. The potential for residential growth appears to be strong.
The increase in demand for diesel generators in the commercial segment of the natural gas generator market is less clear. In part this is due to the fact that cagr boilers have experienced steady growth over the past few years. The increase in residential demand for the car boiler has also been accompanied by an increase in commercial applications for such boilers. As a result the demand outlook for the residential segment remains positive for at least the next two to three years. But if there is any sign that this market segment is becoming saturated with existing customers then there may be signs that demand for natural gas generators in the commercial segment might decline slightly in the coming years.
